On an adventure tour take one set of clean clothes in a zip lock bag and keep them separate from everything else. However hot and humid it becomes it is always nice at the end of the day to shower and step into fresh clothes even if it means putting the jungle clothes back on at the end of the day. Lynette

Phnom Penh

Known as the “Pearl of Asia” before the civil war, Phnom Penh as been Cambodia's capital for most of the last six centuries. Phonom Penh has retained much of its old world charm in the face of urban development. Located on the junction of the Mekong, Tonle Sap and Bassac rivers, hotels, restaurants and cafes line the riverfront and numerous boutiques and galleries now await discovery in the small side streets.

When to go...

Seasonal flooding in Phnom Penh and the rest of Cambodia occurs in late July/early August which can cause some disruptions to travel. September to early November is wet and slightly cooler.
