When to go...
Vietnam generally has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 30°C. The wet season from April to October sees much of the country affected by south-western monsoons with rains mainly falling in the afternoon. This provides a welcome relief from the heat, but rarely disrupts travel. Central Vietnam however can be affected by storms and flooding from October to December. Hanoi and the north can be cold enough from December to February to need a coat, however this is an excellent time to visit Saigon and Mekong Delta.
