On an adventure tour take one set of clean clothes in a zip lock bag and keep them separate from everything else. When to go...
The north, unlike the rest of Vietnam, has four season. From October to April it is warm and humid with temperatures averaging 31°C. The most rain falls in July and August. During winter (December - February) the average temperature is 20°C but it can drop below 0 in the mountain regions such as Sapa. The peak tourist season is September to December when there is a good chance of clear skies and low humidity.
